Google has created yet another incentive to entice you to use their AdWords service. And this time it is the turn of their global video platform, YouTube.
What’s the Deal?
The Benefits of Google AdWords for Video for Small Business
- Simple to Set Up. If you have not created a video before YouTube has created an Advertiser Playbook which offers tips and advice on how to create an engaging video and how to promote video with ads. The Google AdWords for Video form is simple and easy to use, providing you with hints and tips of what to include.
- Easy to Target a Specific Audience. Like the traditional Google AdWords, you can target your advertising dollars to be spent on your specific target audience. The tool allows you to select key attributes such as demographics, keywords, interest categories, topics and placements, to help target your ad at exactly who you want.
- If You Want it Global You Can. YouTube is the number one online video destination, with over 800 million unique visitors a month. In fact the Google Display Network reaches over 89% of the online population. If your product or service is not geographically specific, why not use this free trial to expand your advertising to other markets.
- Control Costs with Pre Determined Budgets. YouTube will track who watches your ad through TrueView, a tool which allows users to click on a button and skip the ad after five seconds if they do not want to watch it. This technology will mean that you will only be charged if the user decides not to watch the ad.
The program launched in beta late last year with several small businesses participating. So far, YouTube has seen up to 45 percent of viewers choose to watch the TrueView-enabled ads all the way through – despite having the option to skip out.
