Small Business BC and Vancity Host Second Good Money™ Talks Small Business Education Event for Surrey Entrepreneurs

January 13, 2016 – British Columbia: Small Business BC, the province’s premier resource centre for entrepreneurs, and Vancity are hosting the second Good Money™ Talks Small Business event at Surrey City Hall on Friday, February 12, 2016 to support businesses in Surrey.

This free half-day event is the second in a series of four that features a complimentary networking lunch, education, tools and resources tailored for entrepreneurs and small business owners seeking to start or grow their business.

“Small Business BC is delighted to partner with Vancity to help strengthen the small business community in Surrey and throughout the Lower Mainland,” says George Hunter, CEO of Small Business BC. “We’re committed to working with engaged partners like Vancity across British Columbia to support the small businesses that are so critical to the economic health of every community in the province.”

The Good Money™ Talks Small Business series will bring together 200 local entrepreneurs, small business owners, service providers and government representatives. Topics to be covered by industry experts at the upcoming event include:

  • Financial and Estate Planning Advice for Small Business Owners
    • Presented by Marlena Quan, Regional Manager, Wealth Planners
  • Introduction to TaxSense for Your Business
    • Presented by Candace Nancke, Partner at Loren Nancke & Company
