September 28: Small Business BC Celebrates Small Business Month with Free Education for Entrepreneurs

September 28, 2012, BC – In celebration of Small Business Month, Small Business BC is hosting a series of free seminars to encourage entrepreneurial education.

Throughout the month of October, Small Business BC will provide a number of free business seminars on the topics of sustainability, social marketing, accounting, exporting and funding sources. Seminars will be offered live in Vancouver and by interactive webinar across BC, so all business owners will have access.

“Of the key factors essential to achieving success in small business, business knowledge is one that’s most often overlooked,” says Small Business BC CEO, George Hunter. “Entrepreneurs who take the time to get smart about their business through education will dramatically increase their chances of success; and Small Business BC is doing its part to make sure that’s possible.”

Limited space is available, so early registration is encouraged at www.s716188362.online-home.ca

For entrepreneurs interested in attending other Small Business Month activities, Small Business BC also hosts an online events calendar featuring networking, education and business events across BC for the month of October.

“Small Business Month is a time to celebrate the contributions, growth and successes of BC’s nearly 400,000 entrepreneurs,” says Hunter. “It’s also a time to showcase the resources and learning opportunities available to support small business owners”.

Small Business BC aims to be the hub for all Small Business Month activities over the next five weeks. Organizations and businesses hosting events are encouraged to publish details on the Small Business Month Events Calendar at www.s716188362.online-home.ca/events and promote their events through Twitter using #smallbizmonth.
