Content Coordinator

We are seeking a driven individual who has a passion for writing and enjoys working with the small business community. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining internal and external business information-based content and collateral for Small Business BC.

Job Specifics – What Will You Be Doing?

  • Collaborates across teams and functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost
  • This role requires a brand publisher mindset: to create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion
  • Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement. Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone
  • Editorial calendar and organization workflows must be developed and managed
  • Builds and develops relationships with external writers, bloggers and sponsors providing content
  • Researches, creates and maintains internal information-based resources/collateral that serve as reference for staff who deliver business information services to clients
  • Accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention
  • Track and report on all site metrics
  • Produce reports on digital campaign performance and making recommendations to increase performance
  • Identifies opportunities to develop the design, functionality and usability of SBBC’s website, in line with organizational objectives
  • Keep up to date on the latest tools, web technologies and social media tactics and evaluates how SBBC can take advantage of opportunities to use new technologies and approaches

What We’re Looking For

  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ in a similar role
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience developing content strategies
  • Web analytics experience
  • WordPress experience
  • Impeccable analytical writing, researching and editing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (in-person, email, telephone)
  • Strong knowledge and competency in web and online marketing strategy
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and how it effects web content production
  • General knowledge of a wide variety of business subjects including small business practices
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills, follow-through and ability to juggle competing priorities with limited supervision
  • Ability to work in French is considered an asset
  • Experience with public speaking / delivering presentations

What We Can Offer You

BCGEU Level: Range 18, step 1 $2012.57 bi-weekly (non-negotiable)
