Small Business Month is here. Are you ready?
Now in its sixth year, this October long celebration of small business is used to raise awareness of the training and development opportunities available to entrepreneurs.
With this in mind, many of our partners across the province arrange activities and events to help small business owners and operators take time to discover a new direction or find new ways to improve their operations and grow their business.
Below are just some of the events happening in this year’s Small Business Month.

The idea behind sustainable purchasing is simple. When you buy a good or a service, you take time to consider both its economic value (price, quality, availability and functionality), and its environmental and social impact – at local, regional, and global levels. You then use your purchasing power to buy those goods or services that have a high economic value and a positive environmental impact.
This introductory seminar will share both information and inspiration to help participants apply sustainable purchasing to their business operations.
